Day 1 – Innsbruck, and Kransjka Gora to Bevoc
And finally our summer holidays started. In an hectic 31st July, where Cleo worked and Cesar returned from Abu Dhabi, we prepared some food for the trip, sorted the baggage and set off to Innsbruck short after 6pm (and only 1h after the initial plan).
We arrived to Innsbruck at 9h40pm and settled in an easy to forget Airbnb.
We started celebrating Swiss National Day the next morning by exploring Innsbruck for a couple of hours.
The first impression of the old town was not good – an old street full of tourist shops all selling the same type of items, mostly probably coming from China… it improved after that, and we found some genuine shops, and a small town with local life.
After wondering by the city and listening to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons from an impromptu trio in one of the streets free of traffic, we found ourselves in front of Café Central, which is celebrating 140 years!…
The waited complained that we we were ordering only one coffee for for persons in a table… despite plenty of empty tables available, we ordered another excursion and an applestrudel.
We then head off to Slovenia – the rest of the journey in Austria was under very skies and full of rain – entering the country through a nice little town named Kransjka Cora.
